I wear a medium weight kilt made with 8 yards of pure wool. The outfit is the Jacobian and the tartan is the province of Quebec one because there's no Arpin or Harpin tartan yet. Maybe I should desing one.

The kilt has been made to measure by Hector Russell firm from Toronto.

My greatest challenge will be to wear it in public. I will tell here all my adventures dressed in kilt.

First experiences in public

Oct. 15th 2005 in Montreal

I was just outside my home when I met my janitor. He looked very amused and asked me if I'm going to dance. Maybe he has seen scottish dances on TV.

Going to my weekly visit to my mother, she couldn't believe that I had the gust to go in public in that outfit.

The place of choice was a local shopping mall where I go every week to do my grocery. As much as possible I tried to look as natural as possible despite the apprehension. To my great surprise I saw no direct reaction from the crowd. However I listened to some faint laughting after people passed me.

The most aggressive reaction was from a male motorist when I crossed the street. He told me that men in skirts must go in the gay district. Dumb people are everywhere.
